A packed events calendar in Gillette this weekend

(Gillette, Wyo.) So much to do this weekend, starting today! *Friday* The Tree Sale is going on right now until 4 p.m. today at the Community Center (Soup Kitchen.) A wide variety of trees, including shade trees and fruit trees, are available. Today and Saturday at Magpie Designs there is a Mother's Day celebration ! Tea tastings, refreshments, and lots of sales of handmade items, made by moms, presented by three generations of moms. They're located at 219 South Gillette Avenue. The Gillette High School Rodeo starts at the Cam-Plex East Pavilion & Barn 3 today at 3 p.m. It continues Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free to all spectators. Sturgis band Judd Hoos (pictured) will be celebrating the release of their new single "Breathe In" at Jake's Tavern tonight and tomorrow. Tickets are $10 at the door. "Bachelors and Bras," an event to benefit Rita's Rebels and the American Cancer Society, starts tonight at 8 p.m. at Boot Hill. You can bid on bachelors, novelty bras, and a ton of other fun items at their auction. You can register at the event starting at 7:20 a.m., it's $20 if you want a t-shirt and $10 for just yourself. All proceeds go twards the Kaden Simonson Scholarship Fund. The Community Drive and Drop concludes this Saturday. Locations are at College Drive, Dalbey Park, and Sage Valley Jr. High. You can find more information about what can be thrown out here . The Coal Country Trash-A-Thon starts at 9 a.m. at Dalbey Park, as well. Volunteers are encourages to come out and help pick up roadside litter! There is a lunch for volunteers afterwards starting at noon. "Oh What A Night," a doo-wop style concert featuring the Gillette Chamber Singers and the Energy City Voices, will take place at the Tech Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and benefit suicide prevention awareness. The Chamber Singers are matching all proceeds up to $1000. Sundance Lounge is hosting a Kentucky Derby party! Mint Julips are available all day, and there will be a Derby Hat Contest.
