(Gillette, Wyo.) - The Wyoming Game and Fish Dept. is allowing everyone statewide
to fish for free this Saturday, June 4th.
You do not have to have a license, but the same fishing hours and rules
apply during the event. Regional Offices are partnering with community
organizations in order to get more people out fishing throughout the summer.
Keyhole is one of the many state parks participating. Other parks and
Historic Sites and Trails locations offering free entrance are Boysen,
Buffalo Bill, Edness K. Wilkins, Fort Phil Kearny, Glendo, Guernsey,
Seminoe and Hawk Springs.
There are also fishing opportunities at the following sites, which offer
free entrance year-round: Bear River, Sinks Canyon and Medicine Lodge.
Camping fees are not waived.
Free Fishing Day applies to all waters in Wyoming with the exception of
Yellowstone National Park and the Wind River Indian Reservation, where
special fishing licenses are required.
