Wyoming Short Film Winners Release Feature Length Movie

(Wyoming) Cardinal Matter, an independent film shot entirely in Dubois, Wyoming, finally has a release date. The movie crowdfunded last year to help with post-production, and recently announced a distribution deal that will land it a digital release on July 8th. Following the suspense-thriller's appearance at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Gravitas Ventures, an international film distribution company that releases 400 indie films each year -- most of them to the Video on Demand market, like Hulu and DirecTV -- snapped up the picture. Cardinal Matter producers are hoping that pre-sales starting June 8th will boost their profile on streaming sites like Netflix. Director Madeline Puzzo, Producer/Cinematographer Mark Christian, and Writer Tom Major won the the Wyoming Short Film Contest in 2013 and used the $25,000 grand prize to produce the feature length film.
