Speed was a factor in rollover crash that injured two teenagers

(Gillette, Wyo.) At 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, two 17 year old girls were headed down Echeta Road, reportedly going 70 miles per hour. When the driver failed to negotiate a corner at Echeta and Montgomery, she rolled her 2010 KIA, going through the ditch and sending it airborne for 80 feet. The car landed on its nose and rolled on to its top. Neither girl was wearing their seat belt. Both remained in the vehicle, however, and had injuries that were treated on-scene by EMS. The Fire Department assisted with the crash. The driver was cited for speeding and for not having a driver's license. Both girls were taken to Campbell County Memorial Hospital. One was treated and released and the other stayed overnight for observation. There was no word on how much damages were to the car. No other vehicles were involved. #county17 #news
