Gillette Resident Elected To Serve At Democratic National Convention

(Gillette, Wyo.) Gillette resident and small business owner Michelle C. Argento has been elected to serve on the credentials committee at the Democratic National Convention, which will be held July 25th - 28th in Philadelphia. Ms. Argento, a novelist and personal finance blogger, has run Write2Advance, a writing and editing company, since 2013. She also runs the personal finance website Fit is the New Poor , and has written for such prominent publications as Student Loan Hero and CentSai. She currently lives in Gillette with her husband and their 13-month-old daughter. "It’s a huge honor to represent Gillette, Campbell County, and the great state of Wyoming at the National Convention," Ms. Argento, 28, said. "I appreciate the hard work Wyoming Democrats have done to ensure that all delegates are counted and apportioned fairly, and I intend to do everything I can to uphold those values of fairness, honesty, and integrity so integral to us here in the Equality State." The DNC Credentials Committee, a Standing Committee of the National Convention, consists of 187 members from around the country – 162 seats allocated to each state and territory, plus 25 Party Leader and Elected Official members nominated by DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. It is responsible for resolving any questions regarding the seating of delegates and alternates to the Convention. After meeting shortly before the convention commences, the Committee will issue a report that will be considered as the first item of business at the Democratic National Convention. #county17 #news
