(Houston, TX) According to the Houston Business Journal
Houston-based Par Pacific Holdings Inc. stated today that it will acquire
Hermes Consolidated LLC, which goes by Wyoming Refining Co.
The $271.4 million purchase price includes Wyoming Refining's $58 million
in debt. The deal closes in July. Houston's Black Elk Refining LLC is the
current owner of Wyoming Refining, which includes the 18,000 barrel per day
operation in Newcastle. Black Elk bought the company in 2011, one of many
owners since the Newcastle plant opened in the 1930s.
The sale also includes the 140-mile Thunder Creek crude oil gathering
system, which runs from northern Campbell County to Douglas.
