(Devils Tower, Wyo.) Crook County Interim Fire Warden and the Board of County Commissioners enacted a full burn ban this past Monday. The ban put the kibosh on fireworks displays and campfires at Keyhole State Park
We contacted Devils Tower KOA about whether or not their Fourth of July
celebrations would include the annual fireworks display. They said it
"doesn't look good," but that their barbeque and karoake events are still a
go for that Monday.
The fire ban in Crook County prohibits smoking except in an enclosed
vehicle or building, campfires, trash or refuse fires, charcoal fires, and
fireworks. Welders, chainsaws and open fire branding are permitted if a
shovel and pressurized fire extinguishers are present.
