Possible Apartment Fire Leads to One Arrest

(Gillette, Wyo.) At around 9 p.m. Monday night, Campbell County Fire responded to Desert Run Apartments for the report of a fire there in a first floor apartment. It turns out the smoke that other residents smelled was overcooked food. While on scene to assist, Gillette Police were advised by bystanders that there was a man on the other side of the building who was drunk and causing a disturbance. Officers found 64 year Pancho Carassco, who lives in the apartment complex. He was intoxicated and making racial slurs, according to police reports. Officers attempted to assist him back to his apartment. He told officers that once they left he would continue to drink more and cause more problems, so he was arrested for intoxication. Once transported to detention he became combative and was placed in to a holding cell. #county17 #news
