UPDATED: Rollover Crash Spills 9500 Gallons of Crude Oil

(Wright, Wyo.) At approximately 9:45 a.m. Sunday morning, the Campbell County Sheriff's Office, Fire Department, Wyoming Department of Transportation and Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to Highway 450, between Highway 59 and Highway 116. A truck with a tanker trailer rolled over, spilling crude oil on to the roadway. Wyoming Homeland Security authorized the hazmat team to help. Approximately 9,500 Gallons of crude oil leaked on to the pavement. Fire crews were able to assist in the off-loading of the remaining crude oil that had not leaked from the tanker to a different semi. The driver had minor injuries and was taken to Campbell County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Highway 450 was cleared and re-opened around 8 p.m. last night, according to WyDOT. Information on the driver has not yet been released by Wyoming Highway Patrol. #county17 #news
