Water Usage Levels Still At 'Condition Yellow'

(Gillette, Wyo.) Water usage this week has been below the 10.2 million gallon mark, with only 5.876 gallons used on Monday, a mandatory restriction day. The city's water usage is still at Condition Yellow, which means the voluntary watering schedule is still in place. *Even numbered addresses can water* - Wednesdays - Fridays - Sundays *Odd numbered addresses can water* - Tuesdays - Thursdays - Saturdays The City's advice is to only water between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., because too much evaporation occurs during the daylight hours to do your lawn much good. The voluntary watering schedule is only for lawns. Residents can water trees, shrubs and other foliage as needed. Lawns may turn brown, but grass goes dormant and will green up when regular watering resumes. #county17 #news
