(Gillette, Wyo.) The Banfield Foundation is an extension of the Banfield Pet Hospital, which founded in Portland, Oregon in 1955. The Foundation has spent the past year helping provide disaster relief for pets and their owners, and expanding veterinary care help for more than 900 locations across the country. They recently awarded $3500 to Gillette's Fur Kids Foundation, to help families in Campbell County. "We are very grateful for the support from the Banfield Foundation," said Mary Melaragno, Fur Kids Foundation president and founder. "This funding will help the Foundation continue its mission of saving lives, and keeping people and their pets together when the community needs it most." In the past four years, Fur Kids Foundation has helped more than 300 local families with over $40,000 in aid for the health care of their pets. Help is made possible through donations from local businesses, and fundraising events like this Saturday's "Pics in the Park
