UPDATE: Fourth Charge Added in Child Pornography Case

(Gillette, Wyo.) Previously Leonard "Z-Man" Zaffarano was charged with three counts of possessing child pornography , a felony, in Campbell County. Investigators with DCI's Internet Crimes Against Children task force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children discovered 80 images in October of 2015 that depicted prepubescent girls in sexually explicit poses. Zaffarano was charged for three of these photos on May 4th and bonded out of detention the next day. In June, NCMEC completed a review of the 80 images retrieved by DCI to compare them with known child pornography. In one of the photos, items visible in the background are consistent with other personal photos of a non-pornographic nature on Zaffarano's SkyDrive account. Furthermore, GPS information embedded within the photographs indicate they were taken at Zaffarano's previous Gillette residence, an apartment across the street from Sunflower Elementary School. It was also noted in court documents that Zaffarano's girlfriend has a daughter the same age as the unidentified girl in the photographs. Along with photos from an iPad linked to an Apple account for Zaffarano, there were photos from an Apple iPhone on his SkyDrive account, some showing his place of employment at the oil fields near Savageton and Fort Laramie. It is believed by investigators that all of these images were produced by Zaffarano around the same time and backed up to his SkyDrive account. An additional charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Child has been added, a felony that could bring 5-12 years in prison or a $10,000 fine. His bond is set at $5000 cash-only and he is still in the Campbell County Detention Center. #county17 #news
