Send Your Kids to Video Game Camp this Summer

(Gillette, Wyo.) Gillette College has announced they're offering four camps in July and August to get students in 4th through 9th grades trained in coding and design. As an ongoing part of their STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education, three-day class sessions in the technology behind creating a video game will be available starting July 18th. "Coding is almost essential for kids to learn in this day and age," said Carole Shafer, Director of the Center for Workforce and Community Education at Gillette College. "By putting their efforts towards something they already love – video games – students in these camps will learn this essential skill while having fun doing so." Each four-day camp costs $125. The camps will run as follows: - My 1st Video Game – July 18-21, 1-4pm - App Attack – July 25-28, 9am-12pm - Minecraft Designers – July 25-28, 1-4pm - Code Breakers – August 8-11, 9am-12pm For more information on these STEAM camps, please contact Carole Shafer at (307) 686-0254 ext. 1312.
