Sheridan County libraries to celebrate 150-year anniversary of Alice in Wonderland

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — The classic children’s book Alice in Wonderland was published by author Lewis Carroll in November 1865. The book has delighted millions of children since then, and become part of popular culture. The Sheridan County Library System will celebrate the 150-year anniversary of this influential book over the next few weeks with several activities, which are free and open to the public. [image: unnamed (1).jpg] *Sheridan Fulmer Library * Nov. 17 – Eighty free copies of the book, purchased with funds from the Bryan Foundation, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Dec. 5 – Mad Hatter Tea Party in the Inner Circle. Join us for a tea party at 1 p.m., including making a Mad Hatter hat. Hats and decorative supplies will be provided. Afterwards, we will have a screening of two movies in the Inner Circle and Children’s Library Theater beginning at 2 p.m. Call the library for more details about the movies. Children of all ages are welcome! *Story Branch Library* Nov. 18 – Make a Mad Hatter Hat event at the Story School from 3:45-5 p.m. A hat and decorative supplies will be provided but you may also bring extra items from home.
