Story Volunteer Fire Department Christmas Tree program

(Story, Wyo.) — Do you want a Christmas Tree from a pretty incredible source? Here's your chance ... The Story Volunteer Fire Department is working on a fire break to help mitigate the risk of a wildfire making it in to Story. Instead of destroying the trees, the Department want locals to have the chance to enjoy the trees this Christmas season. Trees will be available for a suggested $20 donation. Pick up will be on Dec. 6th-13th from 1-5 p.m. at the Story Fire Dept. All trees are Douglas Fir ranging in size from 4 feet to 15 feet. [image: Inline image 1] The trees will come with tips on how to keep them fresh through Christmastime and trees returned to the Department will be used by the local walleye club for fish habitat at Lake DeSmet. Pre-orders are preferred, but there will be many trees to choose from at the fire station on these dates. Trees are offered on a donation basis and all funds will be used for the safety of Story fire fighters. To order a tree please call Brian Meineke at 307-752-9283. h/t flickr / Pitchengine Communities #dally
