Dispatch: Bar checks; crashes; DWUI arrests

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Here is the Tuesday, Dec. 7, recap of law enforcement activity in the Sheridan area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Sheridan Police Department* *Arrests* Kevin Lash, 56, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI at 5:24 a.m. on Mydland Road. Penny A. Nienaw, 41, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI controlled substance at 1:09 p.m. on N. Main Street. Tia Bergen, 28, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI at 4:23 p.m. on Long Drive. *Calls* Officers removed a subject at 7:55 a.m. on Avoca Place when request for removal of subject from residence was made. Upon officers arrival, subject was still at the residence; trespass warning issued. Subject left the residence. Officers were dispatched to complaint of a child running in the street at 8:11 a.m. on Montana Street. The child was picked up by his cousin and brought back to his residence. Parent was contacted and given advice on what steps to take to prevent child from getting out of house. Officers assisted an agency at 8:35 a.m. on Demple Street when they investigated possible child abuse, allegations were unfounded. Officers responded to a damaged property report at 9:10 a.m. on N. Main Street when complaint was made of a hotel room having been broken into and items found to be missing. Officers received information about possible drug activity at 9:26 a.m. on Mydland Road. Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident at 12:57 p.m. on Sheridan Avenue. One driver was cited for unsafe lane change. Officers responded to a report of assault at 4:33 p.m. on Hwy 335. A traffic stop resulted in one driver being cited for driving while suspended at 6:44 p.m. on College Avenue. Officers responded to a civil dispute at 7:02 p.m. on E. Heald Street. A traffic stop resulted in the driver being cited for driving with a suspended license at 7:03 p.m. on Brundage Lane. Officers conducted a bar check at 7:21 p.m. on North Main Street. Officers responded to a fire-other call at 8:14 p.m. on E. College Avenue. Officers conducted a bar check at 9:02 p.m. on Sugarland Drive. Officers responded to an accident at 9:11 p.m. on E. Brundage Street when the driver of a Dodge was backing out of parking spot when her vehicle collided with a parked Chevrolet. Officer found the Chevrolet had been parked in a no parking zone. Officers conducted a bar check at 10:29 p.m. on North Main Street. Officers conducted a bar check at 10:45 p.m. on North Main Street.
