Record snowfall in Billings Monday, more expected in Sheridan today

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — A record amount of snow fell in Billings, Mont., Monday. At 5:27 a.m. today, the National Weather Service of Billings stated that a total of 6.2 inches had fallen in Billings, breaking the previous record of 2.9 inches set in 1989. The latest data from the National Weather Service, time stamped 9 p.m. Monday, reported that Sheridan County had only received half an inch of snow , but more is predicted for today. A winter storm warning remains in place for the Sheridan area until midnight tonight. City crews say they are ready for the snow , and WYDOT warns of dangerous driving conditions.
