Christmas Day storm expected in Eastern part of the state, 1-3 inches of new snow in Sheridan predicted

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — The National Weather Service Riverton Office just released its forecast for Wyoming's Christmas weather. According to the video, which you can see in its entirety below, a "low pressure system over the western U.S. will continue to bring snow to the far western Wyoming mountains and valleys." Sheridan is under a hazardous weather outlook including freezing fog and 1-3 inches of snow accumulation. There is a 30 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m. on Christmas Day. The forecast is for mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 20. Wind chill values may reach as low as -5, with north northwest wind 7 to 9 mph.
