(California) — The Wyoming All-State Marching Band is undergoing final preparations for their appearances in the Disneyland Parade on Thursday and the Tournament of Roses Parade on Friday. The Wyoming band is one of only 18 bands to march in the world-famous Rose Parade. The band performed this morning at Pasadena City College. "There are only 47 high schools in the entire state of Wyoming ... Only 47," the announcer says in the video below. "To give you a comparison, Los Angeles Unified School Districts has 60 high schools in their district. So they are making their way here, and they came by bus all the way from Wyoming ... about 25 hours, and the bus to pick them up in the Jackson area didn't start. Why didn't it start? Maybe because it was -21 degrees. "Well, now they are here in sunny California," he says, as the band begins to perform. In addition to the parades, the 300 member All-State Band participated in a band competition today at Pasadena City College (see video below) and the students will have an opportunity to visit such Southern California attractions as Universal Studios, Disneyland, Hollywood and the beaches of the Pacific Ocean. https://youtu.be/_n2ieVkEH0A *Feature photo Wyoming All State Band / Pitchengine Communities* #dally #news
