Cause of Clearmont bus barn fire under investigation

(Clearmont, Wyo.) — At approximately 4:27 a.m. today (Fri., Jan.1st, 2016) fire crews were dispatched to 1228 Front Street in Clearmont for a report of a structure fire . Upon arrival, crews found a well involved fire in a 50’ x 100’ building used as a bus barn for Sheridan County School District #3, according to Captain Robert Dobbs of Sheridan Fire-Rescue. It took firefighters approximately 3 hours to extinguish the fire and no injuries were reported. Extensive damage occurred to the building and contents. Agencies on scene included, Clearmont Fire, Sheridan Fire-Rescue, Johnson County Fire, Rocky Mountain Ambulance, Wyoming State Troopers and Sheridan County Sheriff Department.
