(Sheridan, Wyo.) — The Sheridan City Council will hear an update on the status of referendum petition
first regular meeting of the year tonight at 7 p.m.
Before the New Year, the City began certifying that all signatures on a
petition calling for a special election on the hire of a city
administrator, according to City Attorney Greg Von Krosigk.
To be valid, the petition must be filed in a timely fashion to the adoption
of City Ordinance 21-58, which passed in October and would allow for the
hire of a city administrator.
The signatures have to be from qualified electors that are registered in
the City, and they must be from registered voters as of Dec. 16, 2015, when
the petition was filed. The signatures and residents' addresses must be
included in the petition.
The council will also hold a public hearing on the transfer of restaurant
liquor license #11 Las Delicias LLC to Las Delicias II LLC, and will then
vote on the transfer.
