(Sheridan, Wyo.) — On Saturday afternoon, a truck fire closed I-90. Dally reported on the incident here
The Wyoming Highway Patrol has released additional photos of the incident
this morning (Monday).
According to the Sheridan WY Police and Fire
Fire-Rescue responded to a request for mutual aid from Johnson County Fire
Department at 3:15 p.m.
The Johnson County Fire Department was on scene at mile marker 42
Interstate 90 with a tractor trailer from a moving company with the trailer
on fire. Also responding were Wyoming State Troopers, Johnson County
Sheriff’s Department, and Story Fire.
Sheridan Fire-Rescue was on scene until approximately 5 p.m., while other
responders remained on scene for a longer time.
The contents of the trailer were heavily damaged by fire, smoke and water.
The cause of the fire has yet to be declared.
The driver of the truck was transported via ambulance to Johnson County
Hospital as a precaution. The interstate was shut down for a period of
time, and traffic rerouted around the scene as the west bound lane was
completely blocked by fire suppression efforts.
