(Dayton, Wyo.) — We tip our hats to Danielle Laumann for this incredible shot of a bald eagle at the base of the Big Horn Mountains outside of Dayton. Bald eagles are common in the winter at Lake DeSmet, along Clear Creek and on the Tongue River. They are "winter visitants," and according to "Birds and Birding in Wyoming's Bighorn Mountain Region," the bird feeds almost exclusively on non-game fish and will also attack birds or wounded geese up to the size of geese and cranes. Have a great photo to share? Send it to Dally!
