Subjects contacted and agreed to separate until emotions calmed down. Citizen reported a subject lurking near a local thrift store and fleeing the area with a bag of unknown items at 3:58 a.m. on E. Burkitt Street. Officers responded to complaint of a two vehicle crash at 8:08 a.m. on Brundage Street. One driver cited for failing to yield right of way (run stop sign). Officers responded to a welfare check at 9:34 a.m. on N. Main Street. Officers responded to a report of fraud at 10:18 a.m. on Falcon Ridge Road. Officers responded to a report of hit and run at 11:22 a.m. in the Sheridan area. Complaint was of a red Subaru having sustained damage by another vehicle while parked in the downtown area. Officers responded to a request for snow removal at 12:04 p.m. on Wyoming Avenue. Officers responded to a minor in possession incident at 12:30 p.m. on W. Fifth Street and cited a juvenile for MIP-tobacco. A traffic stop resulted in one adult female being cited for driving with a suspended drivers license at 1:36 p.m. on E. Sixth Street. A resident of Gillette reported possible fraud involving a PO Box in Sheridan at 2:10 p.m. in the Sheridan area. Officers responded to a court violation at 2:35 p.m. on W. 15th Street when arrestee of domestic violence attempted to make contact with victim through a third party. Action was a violation of bond conditions. Arrestee contacted and told to stop attempting to make contact with victim. Officers responded to a report of lost property at 2:41 p.m. on Idaho Avenue. Officers issued a warning to a dog owner for allowing a dog to run off leash at 3:18 p.m. on Yellowtail Drive. Officers responded to an animal welfare check requested by a concerned citizen on a dog at 4:18 p.m. on W. Burkitt Street. Dog owner contacted. Officers cited a dog owner for allowing dog to run off leash at 4:23 p.m. on E. Works Street. Officers responded to an accident at 5:12 p.m. on Coffeen Avenue. Officers responded to a report of fraud at 7:17 p.m. on W. Sixth Street. Officers responded to an illegal parking incident at 7:22 p.m. on N. Main Street. Officers responded to the 2300 block of North Main for a possible assault in progress at 7:25 p.m. Investigation revealed that a male was assisting an intoxicated female home. A concrete wheel barrow was found at the intersection of Val Vista and W. Dow St. at 8:45 p.m. Wheel barrow was taken to the police department for safekeeping.
