Regional snowpack gains a few points, still remains low

(Wyoming) — The Tongue snowpack gained a few points this last week, but is still low. The median Snow Water Equivalent this week was reported at 50 percent of the median, compared with 45 percent one year ago. The Powder River Basin is up 2 points, at 57 percent of median compared with last year's 55 percent of median. The snow water equivalent report is generated each week during the winter by the Natural Resources Conservation Service in Casper.
