Flags at half-staff today to honor Fremont County firefighter

(Wyoming) — Gov. Matt H. Mead has ordered the U.S. and the State of Wyoming flags be flown at half-staff statewide from sunrise to sunset today (Saturday, Jan. 23) in honor of Fremont County Firefighter, Deputy Chief Clarence “Speed” Hartbank who passed away on Jan. 13. Deputy Chief Hartbank served the Fremont County Department for 45 years. Hartbank, of Pavillion, died of burns suffered in a mishap at a fire scene on Sept. 10 off of the Eight Mile Road.
