All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Sheridan Police Department * *Arrests* *Friday* Kane Purcella, 21, Sheridan, was arrested on a Municipal Court warrant and cited for Driving Under Suspension at 10:53 a.m. on N. Main Street. *Saturday* Jaryn McHenry, 32, Sheridan, was arrested for a Sheridan County warrant at 11:04 a.m. on W. Burkitt Street. Kevin Crawford, 58, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI when officers responded to a report of verbal domestic incident at 12:50 p.m. on E. College Avenue. All parties involved were contacted and no domestic was found to have occurred. *Sunday* James Graff, 68, Sheridan, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Interference at 1:04 p.m. when contacted by police while he was walking in the middle of Coffeen Avenue. Main Street. Officers responded to report of a two vehicle accident at 10:05 a.m. on E. Loucks Street. Damage was minimal and no citations were issued. Officers conducted civil standby at 10:51 am. on Dunnuck Street. Officers responded to a report of a unobserved hit and run at 11:02 a.m. on Broadway Street. Case suspended pending any investigative leads. Officers conducted a welfare check on children at 11:14 a.m. on E. Seventh Street. A city vehicle sustained damage at an unknown time and location. Report was made for documentation at 12:04 p.m. on Grinnell Plaza. A traffic stop resulting in one male cited for Driving Under Suspension and Possession of a Controlled Substance--Plant Form at 12:29 p.m. on 11th Street. Officers took report of construction company causing a disturbance to the neighbors at 2:09 p.m. on E. Fourth Street. No criminal activity observed. Case made for documentation. Officers took report of a missing license plate from a local car dealer at 2:53 p.m. on E. Fifth Street. Officers responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries at 3:54 p.m. on Second Street. Female driver cited for following too close. Officers responded to a domestic incident at 4:34 p.m. on Long Drive. The involved party was contacted and found to be ok. No arrests made. Officers conducted a death investigation at 5:09 p.m. on Smith Street when an 82-year-old female passed away prior to EMS arrival. Officers responded to a DUI-Reddi report at 7:29 p.m. on Dunnuck Street. Officers cited a female for littering when she was observed throwing a burning substance from a vehicle following a traffic stop at 7:37 p.m. on Gould Street. Officers conducted a bar check at 8:29 p.m. on N. Main Street. Officers responded to a trespass in progress at 8:33 p.m. on Odell Court. Officers responded to a report of a careless driver at 8:57 p.m. on Alger Avenue. The vehicle was found parked at the registered address a short time later. Vehicle driver was contacted. Officers conducted a bar check at 10:27 p.m. on Broadway Street. *Saturday * Officer contacted an intoxicated female adult outside a bar with an open beer at 1:25 a.m. on Broadway Street. Female subject was identified but was released when another officer requested assistance in the area. Officer learned the subject was on bond and not to be drinking alcohol or in a bar. Under investigation. Police towed a vehicle following a traffic stop at 1:32 a.m. on N. Brooks Street. Driver of the vehicle has not been identified. Officer contacted members of The Iron Brotherhood motorcycle gang who appeared to be trying to get the officer's attention at 1:52 a.m. on N. Main Street. Officer learned a subject was just flipping off the officer as he drove past the bar door. Subject was belligerent and expressed unwillingness to cooperate with officers. Officers assisted Sheridan Fire with entry to a smoke alarm at 2:22 a.m. on S. Main Street. Resident taken to the hospital by EMS. Hospital staff reported receiving lewd phone call from a male describing obscene things at 2:53 a.m. on W. Fifth Street. Officer spoke with staff about tracing and recording future calls. A vehicle maneuvered to avoid a collision with another vehicle at 9:51 a.m. on Brundage Lane. Vehicle sustained minor damage after hitting a curb. Citation issued to failing to yield to oncoming traffic. Officers removed a subject at 12:03 p.m. on N. Main Street. Officers responded to a trespassing report at 12:26 p.m. on Sibley Circle. Officers responded to a child restraint at 12:59 p.m. on Coffeen Avenue. Officers took report of items being stolen out a storage unit at 1:24 p.m. on Terra Avenue. Under Investigation. Officers found HTC Cell Phone at 2:26 p.m. on Water Street. Owner was identified, but was unable to make contact at this time. Phone was placed into safekeeping. Officers conducted a bar check at 3:41 p.m. on N. Main Street. Officer assisted Campus Police arrest a subject on a warrant at 8:36 p.m. at Sheridan College. Officers responded to a report from passers-by of a man inside a home pointing a gun around in a strange manner at 8:47 p.m. on Sumner Street. Officers contacted the man, a former army sniper and law enforcement officer, who was practicing dry firing his guns. Officers conducted a bar check at 10:13 p.m. on N. Main Street. Situation resolved upon police arrival. Officers responded to a report of an ongoing civil issue between family members at 6:37 p.m. on Michael Drive. All parties were spoken to and the matter was resolved for the time being.
