Employee survey at SMH shows improvement since 2014

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — A survey of employees at Sheridan Memorial Hospital asked about their perception of patient safety, according to a recent report from SMH. The survey covered communication openness, staffing, teamwork, transitions, management support and promotion of safety, and several others. The responses from the employees placed them in the top 25% in patient safety culture of all hospitals surveyed. According to John Addlesperger, DO, Chief Medical Officer at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, the hospital was rated “above average” in all categories, a significant improvement since the last survey was taken in the spring of 2014.
