Dispatch: One arrest for possession of methamphetamine; welfare check request results in officers finding dead male in residence

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Here is the Thurs., Feb 4, recap of law enforcement activity in the Sheridan area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Sheridan Police Department * *Arrests* Coby Hettich, 19, Rapid City, SD, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. on N. Main Street for driving under suspension as the result of a traffic stop for speeding. Justin Lundvall, 43, Cody, was arrested for DWUI as result of a traffic stop at 2:37 a.m. on W. 12th Street. Jack Vance, 42, Sheridan and currently incarcerated, was cited for violating a protection order at 4:32 p.m. on S. Sheridan Avenue. Nathan Hurlbert, 19, Sheridan, was arrested at 9:58 p.m. on Brundage Lane for possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine; and a female occupant of the vehicle being cited for possession of a controlled substance-marijuana. *Calls* Officers responded to an accident at 7:55 a.m. on W. Fifth Street when complaint was made of a two vehicle accident in the 500 block of West 5th Street. One driver was subsequently cited for following too close. Officers responded to suspicious circumstances at 10:10 a.m. on Lewis Street when complaint was made of a payee abusing client funds. Officers responded to a report of counterfeiting at 11:01 a.m. on Coffeen Avenue when a counterfeit $100 note was collected from First Interstate Bank. Officers responded to a report of possible drug activity at 11:11 a.m. on Big Horn Avenue when information was received of possible drug activity and abuse of prescription drugs. Officers conducted a death investigation at 11:56 a.m. on Fourth Avenue E when a welfare check was requested on a 69-year-old male. Officers found the male deceased at his residence. Officers responded to a DUI-Reddi report at 1:15 p.m. on Alger Avenue. A traffic stop at 5:40 p.m. on N. Brooks Street resulted in one citation issued for driving while suspended. Officer initiated citizen contact at 8:37 p.m. on N. Main Street resulted in one male being cited for open container.
