Governor Mead gives shout out to SCSD#1; remembers Rep. John Patton in State of State

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) — In his State of the State address this morning, opening the 63rd Wyoming Legislative Session, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead reminded the state that our future is right here in Sheridan County. "Our state is strong," Gov. Mead said, continuing that Big Horn High School was ranked in the top 500 schools in the state by Newsweek Magazine in 2015. "Of the 24,000 public high schools in the U.S., to be chosen in the top 500 is a tremendous achievement," Mead said. Mead visited Big Horn High School in January to celebrate the district's many recent successes . Gov. Mead also opened his speech with a moment of silence in memory of Rep.
