Dispatch: Identity theft; possession of marijuana citations; hit and run report

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Here is the Monday, Feb. 8, recap of law enforcement activity in the Sheridan area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Sheridan Police Department* *Arrests* Dean Albers, 58, Sheridan, currently incarcerated in Sheridan County Jail, was served a warrant at 12:45 p.m. on Water Street. A traffic stop resulting in Kenneth Hulford, 19, Sheridan, being arrested for an active warrant at 11:05 p.m. on Sheridan Avenue. *Calls* Officer took a report of suspicious behavior that occurred the day before and might be related to mental illness at 9:54 a.m. on Coffeen. The report was that a male was very upset and angry. Officers responded to a theft report at 10:03 a.m. on S. Carlin Street concerning missing prescription medications. Officers responded to a complaint of identity theft at 1:26 p.m. on S. Sheridan Avenue when an account was opened in Sheridan using the personal information of someone else. Officers responded to a reckless driver reported at 3:30 p.m. on W. Burkitt Street. Two men cited for possession of marijuana after an officer walked by and smelled the substance at 7:17 p.m. on N. Gould Street. Officers responded to a hit and run at 9:02 p.m. on N. Main Street when a truck received damage from being struck by another vehicle. Damage is believed to have occurred with the truck was parked at local business on the evening of 2-7-16. Officers responded to a total of 28 incidents Monday. *Sheridan County Sheriff's Office* Officers responded to a report of a sexual offense at 3:48 p.m. in the Clearmont area. Officers responded to a theft report at 5:11 p.m. on Woodland Park Road in Sheridan. Officers responded to six total incidents Monday. #dally #news
