(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Effective this month, the City of Sheridan has new water and sewer rates in place. The increases of 1.25 percent annually for water and 3 percent annually for sewer for four years, projected over an 8-year financial planning horizon, will allow the water and sewer enterprises to continue to be effectively operated and maintained, while working to meet reserve targets of $1.85 million and $1.26 million, respectively, by the end of FY 2017, according to the city. The water and sewer rates will increase the average customer’s bill by $.95/month ($0.40 for water and $0.55 for sewer) and will be effective Feb. 1, 2016. Also in January, the city approved a Utility Assistance Program for
low-income, elderly and disabled patrons. Contact the city for more
information on the program.
