(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Did you know Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns has three homes in progress right now? "We are fortunate to live in such a generous community!" Volunteer Coordinator Dimitra Dugal told Dally. Habitat is always looking for new volunteers, she said. "We always need volunteers! No experience or tools are necessary. We also appreciate donated meals and snacks for our work crews." Habitat crews are on site Tuesday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Habitat has received a $50,000 grant from Thrivent Financial to build a home on Willow Street for Sheridan resident Kathy Baker, Dugal said. The foundation has been poured and Habitat has started building the walls ahead of schedule, thanks to beautiful weather and "a wonderful group of Americorps volunteers" working with Habitat for eight weeks. Habitat will host a ceremonial wall raising Saturday, March 19 at 9 a.m. at 1790 Willow Trail. "For this build in particular, we are looking to increase our number of local volunteers," Dugal said.
