Man arrested for breaking into downtown businesses

A 27-year-old Sheridan man was arrested after allegedly breaking into two businesses some time early Saturday morning. Around 9:30 a.m., deputies were called to The Chocolate Tree for a report of a burglary. SPD Lt. Tom Ringley said while officers were investigating that break-in, they received another tip that a block away, Frackelton's had also been burglarized. While the investigation continued, police were notified of a knife found stuck in a door jam at a barber shop; entry to that business was not gained. Ringley said that through the investigation officers gained probable cause that Joshua Campbell had been the one breaking into the businesses. At this time is believed that nothing was actually taken, but Campbell had been attempting to steal something. Campbell has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary. Each of those crimes is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and/or $10,000 in fines. photo h/t #dally #news
