Dispatch: Juveniles cited for MIP and DWUI; hit and run; damaged property reports

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Here is the Wednesday, March 2, recap of law enforcement activity in the Sheridan area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Sheridan Police Department* *Arrests* Taran Schlegel, 22, Sheridan, was arrested on an active municipal court warrant at 11:04 a.m. on Coffeen Avenue. *Calls* A vehicle was stopped for speeding and three juveniles were cited for MIP alcohol at 2:41 a.m. on Grinnell Plaza. Juvenile driver was cited for Youthful DWUI. Male juvenile was cited for possession of a controlled substance. Police took a report of drug activity in the Sheridan area at 10:21 a.m. A juvenile male was subject removed from school for the rest of the day for behavioral issues after an assault report at 12:07 p.m. on Lewis Street. Officers responded to a report of damaged property at 12:14 p.m. on Steffen Court. Report was of a broken door jam. It appeared someone forced entry into a home. Case under investigation. A hit and run was reported in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 4:19 p.m. *Sheridan County Sheriff's Office* The SCSO responded to eight incidents, including: DUI, 1:55 a.m. on Decker Road, mp 2.6 in Sheridan. Property destruction, 6:52 a.m., Gillette Street, Ranchester. Property destruction, 7:04 a.m., Second Avenue W., Ranchester. Death notification, 5:14 p.m., Meadowlark Lane, Sheridan. #dally #news
