(Sheridan, Wyo.) — The Downtown Sheridan Association raised about $35,000 at the annual Wild West Wine Fest Friday. "The Downtown Sheridan Association’s 17th annual Wild West Wine Fest held Friday, March 4, at the Elks Lodge was a smashing success!" Beth Holsinger, Executive Director of the Downtown Sheridan Association, said today. "Once again, we were overwhelmed by the generosity and support Sheridan County provides the organization." The event had a large number of cash sponsors, silent auction donors and an army of volunteers, Holsinger said. "The Downtown Sheridan Association Board of Directors and numerous other volunteers are the glue that holds this organization together. Because of their efforts and the generous folks who attended, bought raffle tickets and auction items while enjoying a large variety of wines and gourmet hors d’oeuvres, the event raised approximately $35,000," Holsinger said. The funds will go toward continuation of the flowers on Main Street, 3rd Thursday Street Festival, Farmers’ Market and the Four Point Main Street Committees.
