(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Habitat for Humanity will celebrate its presence in the Sheridan community with a special "wall raising" ceremony Saturday. In February, non-profit had poured the foundation for a home at 1790 Willow Trail, and began building the walls as weather allowed. The ceremonial Wall Raising, however, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday. "For this build in particular, we are looking to increase our number of local volunteers," Dimitra Dugal, Volunteer Coordinator said. Thrivent Financial provided Habitat a $50,000 graon to build the home, which will go to Sheridan resident Kathy Baker. "There will be an invocation (Saturday) given by Pastor Darrell White of the Wesleyan church at 9 a.m., and then we will work until noon, break for lunch, and resume working from 1-4 p.m.," Dugal said. "This is absolutely a volunteer opportunity for the public," Dugal said, but volunteers should RSVP here so that there are enough lunches for everyone.
