Dispatch: Over half a dozen DUI arrests; Two dog bites over the weekend

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Here is the March 18-March 20 recap of law enforcement activity in the Sheridan area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. The *Sheridan Police Department* responded to 108 incidents over the weekend, including: *Arrests* *Friday* Monica Evans, 48, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI with a minor in the vehicle at 7:50 p.m. on Coffeen Avenue, after a DUI-Reddi report was made. Jerry Tapp, 73, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI at 10:27 p.m. on Florence Avenue. Travis Shields, 42, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI at 11:43 p.m. on N. Main Street. *Saturday* Douglas Lamping, 29, Sheridan, was arrested on Circuit Court warrant and for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at 7:39 a.m. on N. Main Street. Alec Wood, 23, Buffalo, was arrested on warrant at 8:55 a.m. on Coffeen Avenue. Payton Garner, 41, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI drugs at 9:36 p.m. on N. Main Street. *Sunday* Jason Williams, 39, Parker, Colorado, was being arrested for DWUI alcohol at 1:56 a.m. on Brundage Street. Devon Kearney, 35, Lebanon, TN, was arrested for DWUI following a traffic stop for driving the wrong way on a one-way at 2:16 a.m. on S. Main Street. Brian Thorson, 30, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI alcohol at 3:58 a.m. on N. Linden Avenue. James Downam, 56, Rozet, was arrested for DWUI after a report that he was driving intoxicated and was unable to maintain his lane at 3:38 p.m. on Coffeen Avenue. He was also cited for open container. *Calls* *Friday* Officers received a complaint of fraudulent activity through an Internet secret shopper scam at 9:33 a.m. on E. Heald Street. Officers responded to a request for removal of a male from local hotel at 10:15 a.m. on Brundage Lane. The subject ultimately had to be transported to the hospital for medical issues. Complaint of a vehicle driving past a stopped school bus with activated lights was made at 3:31 p.m. on E. Brundage Lane. Incident was captured on video. Driver of the vehicle will be contacted and citation issued. A female juvenile, 16, was signed as a runaway at 5:43 p.m. on Dana Avenue. Believed the female may be with a male juvenile, 16 years of age, court ordered not to have contact with. The female was was located by officers and transported to Milestone Group Home at 6:09 p.m. *Saturday* Officers responded to a report of shots at 1:46 a.m. on Wyoming Avenue. Officers responded to a complaint of a parked and unattended truck having received damage at 6:57 a.m. on Mydland Road. Determined the truck had been struck by another vehicle during the early morning hours. One male cited for possession of drug paraphernalia as result of a traffic stop at 3:28 p.m. on N. Gould Street. Complaint was made of one person contacting another by telephone and requesting drugs at 8:40 p.m. on Smith Street. Request for the issuance of a trespass warning at 10:41 p.m. on Brundage Street. Case pending contact with the subject. Officers responded to a suspected domestic dispute at 11:55 p.m. on W. Fifth Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the disturbance was an underage party. Three individuals cited for MIP alcohol. *Sunday* Officers responded to complaint of a filthy premise at 10:26 a.m. on N. B Avenue. Property owner contacted and given 28 days to clean and clear property. Complaint was of someone having attempted to make entry into residence at 11:32 a.m. on Big Horn Avenue. Complaint of a reckless driver in the 300 block of E Works at 4:32 p.m. The driver was contacted and ultimately cited for careless driving. Complaint of a male, age 9, who had ran from his parent and crawled under the fence between the Holiday Inn and the Interstate at 5:11 p.m. on Sugarland Drive. Law Enforcement contacted the child, who agreed to go with his mother. Complaint of a domestic between live-in boyfriend and girlfriend at 7:06 p.m. on Huntington Street. Investigation resulted in the boyfriend being cited for possession of controlled substance-plant form. Male juvenile, 14, ran up to a dog on leash at 7:55 p.m. on Mydland Road. In an act of defense the dog lunged and bit the juvenile on the chest. One male cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance/marijuana, as the result of a traffic stop at 9:07 p.m. on Burkitt Street. A four-month-old collie mastiff mix bit a 3-year-old boy at their home at 9:28 p.m. on S. Main Street. Dog was surrendered to the Animal Shelter. Drug activity was reported at 10:29 p.m. on N. Sheridan Avenue.
