Warm and windy today, outdoor burning discouraged

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — The National Weather Service in both Billings and Riverton warns of a warm, windy day ahead, and says outdoor burning is discouraged. From Billings, the NOAA said this morning: "Very Warm and Windy Today. Outdoor burning activity is strongly discouraged today." In Riverton, the NOAA said last night: "Dry conditions to give way to a snow filled week. Windy and dry conditions will bring elevated to extreme fire danger to the lower elevations of areas east of the divide Monday." Across the region, a storm system will bring the potential for accumulating snow Tuesday into Wednesday. Snow will likely increase in intensity Monday night into Tuesday. Accumulating snow could then spread across the south and eastern portions of Wyoming Tuesday through Wednesday.
