Wet roads at the moment; Winter Storm Warning still in effect

(Sheridan, Wyo.) - It's wet out there at the moment, but the Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the Southern Big Horn-Sheridan Foothills through 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Locations affected include Lodge Grass, Pryor, Wyola, Fort Smith, Sheridan, Dayton, Ranchester, Big Horn, Story and Clearmont. The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Billings said the storm will bring heavy snow, blowing snow and hazardous driving conditions at times. The heavy wet snow may cause tree and power line damage and could pose a threat to young livestock. Blowing snow will cause reduced visibility. *Timing:* Snow, heavy at times, will develop this morning and continue through tonight. The heaviest snow is expected from late afternoon through late tonight. *Accumulation:* 6 to 10 inches is expected with the locally higher amounts over the higher hills and foothills. *Winds:* Northeast 15-25 mph will combine with the snow causing poor visibilities. *Be prepared: *A significant amount of snow is expected or occuring. Strong winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible. *Feature Photo: h/t Wydot Web Cam near Sheridan / Pitchengine Communities* #dally #news
