Wyoming has one of the highest rates of ultra-wealthy individuals

Wyoming. We're big, we're beautiful, and we don't have many people. But according to 2014-15 data, we also have the second highest rate of ultra high net worth individuals in the nation. Wealth-X defines someone as having an ultra high net worth if they are worth at least $30 million. And according to their data, Wyoming has 350 such individuals out of 69,560 in country. That's a really low number compared to the rest of the country, but due to our small population, that translates to 1 in every 1,669 Wyoming residents. That puts us in second place, falling behind only the District of Columbia. Wyoming is home to some world's wealthiest as well. Forrest Mars Jr. of the Big Horn area and of Mars candy fame is valued at $28.6 billion and is ranked 19th on Wealth-X's most wealthy individuals in the world.
