Local children help Game and Fish stock regional waters

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department stocked the first fish of the 2016 season in Sheridan area waters on April 1, 2016. The following waters were stocked with rainbow trout that were 8-10 inches long: Goose Creek in Kendrick Park - 125 rainbows Sheridan Fairgrounds Pond - 100 rainbows Ranchester City Pond - 250 rainbows Mavrakis Pond - 250 rainbows In the feature photo, students from Tongue River Elementary school dumped a bucket of fish into Ranchester City Pond. About 15 students showed up on Friday—a day they do not normally have school—to help Game and Fish stock the pond, Bud Stewart, Public Information Specialist for the Sheridan Region of the Wyoming Game & Fish Department said. Below, see a photo of two boys that happened to be at Mavrakis Pond fishing with their grandfather dumping a bucket of fish into the pond, as their grandfather watches and takes a photo.
