Dispatch: Hit and runs reported; Trespass warning issued; Fraud report

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Here is the April 13 recap of law enforcement activity in the Sheridan area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Sheridan Police Department* *Arrests* Ronald Nixon, 35, Sheridan, was arrested for DWUI, Careless Driving and Driving while license suspended as a result of a careless driver complaint at 6:20 p.m. on 10th Street. *Calls* Officers responded to a two vehicle accident in the high school parking lot at 11:09 a.m. A male subject was contacted and given a trespass warning for several properties, as per the manager of the properties, on S. Main Street at 11:10 a.m. Complaint was made of a fraudulent check having been received as payment for the purchase of an item advertised for sale at 1:52 p.m. on LaClede Street. Check was issued at $1,400 over purchase price. A male individual attempted to collect the purchased item and the over payment. The male left when the seller advised that notification had been made to Law Enforcement. A hit and run complaint of a tan Chevrolet Suburban (witness provided partial plate WY 3-17….) having backed into a parked vehicle then drive away was made at 1:58 p.m. on Jefferson Street. Complaint of a vehicle having struck another vehicle before leaving the scene was made at 2:28 p.m. on Coffeen Avenue. Both involved vehicles were located and drivers contacted. Officer examined both vehicles and found no evidence the two vehicle had come in contact with each other. Complaint of two refrigerators in a residence backyard on E. Sixth Street at 4:32 p.m. Property owner was contacted and advised of the corresponding city ordinance. Harassment was reported at 6:30 p.m. on W. Halbert. Officers assisted EMS with a medical call at 8:36 p.m. on S. Sheridan Ave. Male was transported to the hospital. Officers stayed at the hospital because the male became combative with hospital staff. Complaint of two intoxicated males walking in the road at 11:19 p.m. on Gould Street.
