Snow water equivalent on the rise in the Tongue, Powder basins

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Recent snows have made a significant difference in the Northeastern regional snowpack numbers. As of yesterday, April 27, the average snow water equivalent in the Tongue River Basin sits at 88 percent, and 95 percent in the Powder River Basin, according to the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Snowpack data shows good news too. As of April 25, snowpack had risen in both basins.
