Love your child through success and failure, Miss Janine says

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — All kids struggle. Preschoolers are learning to navigate a big world—one full of new social interactions, challenges and experiences. Janine Demple, "Miss Janine," who has led the classrooms at Noah's Ark since 2012, has a few tips for raising children who are loving, confident people. In her classroom, children follow three rules: Take care of the self. Take care of others. Take care of the classroom. Those simple rules can be carried into other areas of the child's life, helping them navigate the world around them, Demple said. Teaching children techniques like deep breathing and self-regulation can serve them for years to come. "Love your child through failure or success," Demple said. "Your success is in allowing them the opportunities to experience both and teach from either. In the end, you teach kindness and forgiveness."
