Sheridan College student found deceased on campus Monday

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — At approximately 3 p.m. Monday, a member of the Sheridan College student body was discovered deceased on campus by housing officials. "It always brings great sadness when we lose a member of our college community. Our students are more than students; they are family. Our prayers and thoughts are with their family and friends," Wendy Smith, Director of Marketing & Public Information for the Northern Wyoming Community College District, said today. "Campus Police officers were notified immediately and found Rondo Biggs, a full-time student at Sheridan College passed away in his dorm room. We cannot speculate on why or how he died. We will have to wait on official word from the coroner’s office," Smith said. Lt. Travis Koltiska with the Sheridan Police Department said the Sheridan Police Department also responded to the medical call Monday. The death was an isolated incident and no foul play is suspected, Smith said. "We will offer counseling services to those students and employees who may need it. We have professionals on staff responding appropriately and with every possible concern for students. We will do everything possible to support all members of our college community," Smith said. #dally #news
