(Sheridan, Wyo.) — This week, members of the Sheridan Board of Realtors
are participating in a statewide Habitat For
Humanity community service project.
"The Sheridan board is volunteering the entire week of May 2-6 on a home in
Sheridan, which will house a local family," Julie Szewc, Sheridan Realtor
and past president of the Sheridan County Board of Realtors told Dally.
As the community engagement chair for the Wyoming Association of Realtors,
Szewc has been working to develop a new program wherein Wyoming realtors
will volunteer with their local Habitats, and the majority of non-profit
real estate boards across the state are volunteering, she said.
“The Wyoming Association of Realtors wants to give back to the local
communities across the state of Wyoming, and Habitat for Humanity has
always been such a strong participant in helping families with housing. It
is a great pairing for us,” Szewc said.
Over 40 Realtors and 5 real estate offices are participating in the
volunteer build week, including ERA Carroll Realty Co., Inc.; Century 21;
Cottonwood Properties; Summit Realty; Concept Z; Powderhorn Realty; and KW
