Saturday is Free Landfill & Trees for Trash Day

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Today, and Saturday, May 14, are free landfill days for City of Sheridan and Sheridan County residents. Residents are allowed to dispose up to one ton of household trash per visit at no charge. There will be a charge for car batteries, tires, and for refrigeration units that have not been decommissioned by a certified technician. Also, regular landfill fees continue to apply to commercial customers. Residential hazardous waste WILL be accepted during this free day. The City of Sheridan Landfill requires that all waste be secured, covered or in a closed container. Materials delivered which are not secured, covered, or in a closed contained will be assessed $10 for cars and pickups and $50 for all other vehicles. Saturday, May 7 only is also a Trees for Trash day. A free starter tree will be given in return for trash from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., courtesy of the City Council, Sheridan Media, Country Bounty and Landon’s Greenhouse. #dally #news
