Rain forecasted for Sheridan; Flooding hits Casper, Lander

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — There is a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service of Billings. The day will be partly sunny with a high near 63. The chance of precipitation is 40%. At 5:21 a.m. today, NOAA issued a hazardous weather outlook for areas including Sheridan, predicting rain and mountain snowfall of over an inch in some areas. The rain is expected to last through Tuesday. Flooding has hit Casper and Riverton , though late Sunday night, the National Weather Service reported that the water was beginning to recede near Riverton.
