Slushies, hot dogs and cones: a seasonal favorite is back open

(Sheridan, Wyo.) — Summer means ice cream in Kendrick Park, and this summer, you can get cups and cones in flavors like black licorice, kona coffee and bubble gum. A mainstay in the centrally-located Sheridan park, the stand opened last weekend. The ice cream stand also serves frappes, smoothies, Italian sodas, hot dogs and nachos. Last summer, Sheridan customers ate 6,315 gallons of ice cream from May through September. The top selling 2015 flavor was moose tracks, selling a 375 gallons of ice cream. Second was chocolate chip cookie dough at 348 gallons, followed by chocolate ice cream with 321 gallons. The Ice Cream Stand is in the center of Kendrick Park and is run by the Sheridan County Rec District.
